On 26th January 2018, National Office of Intellectual Property made its Decision No. 297/Qd-SHTT on issuing Geographical indication registration cerfiticate No. 00062 for famous product of “Ben Tre” green grapefruit. Ben Tre Provincial People’s Committee is the organization in charge of managing this geographical indication.
The green grapefruit growing area of Ben Tre Province includes Chau Thanh District, Giong Trom District, Mo Cay Bac District, Cho Lach District, Mo Cay Nam district, Binh Daii district and Ben Tre City. This geographical area locates on three ranges of isle is An Hoa Isle, Bao Isle, Minh Isle.
